AI basics: the right tool for the job

What this session is

Stop treating ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and Perplexity as interchangeable. This session unpacks what each tool is genuinely best suited for — conversational brainstorming, deep research, coding, writing and reasoning, or integration with your existing productivity software — with live side-by-side demonstrations showing how the same task plays out differently across tools.

Who it is for
Anyone already using one or more AI tools who wants a clearer sense of which to reach for and when. No technical background needed.

What you will leave with

• A simple decision-making framework for choosing the right AI tool for any task
• A real sense of the differences in tone, accuracy, depth and speed between tools
• The confidence to start using these tools more effectively in your own work

The Guernsey AI Sprint is an island-wide programme, led by the G8, bringing together businesses, organisations, and individuals to explore, learn, and act on artificial intelligence.
