OVERVIEW
Watch students and leading speakers debate AI's risks live, then put your own questions to the floor.

Part of the AI Sprint: six weeks of events across Guernsey, 1 October to 12 November 2026.

What this session is

A public debate bringing together leading speakers and students to argue out the risks and realities of AI, with the floor open for audience questions at the end of the opening speaker rounds.

Who it is for
Open to all — students, parents, educators and anyone interested in where AI debate is heading.

What you will leave with

  • Hear both sides of the AI risk debate argued live, not just presented
  • See how the next generation is thinking about AI's risks and opportunities
  • Have the chance to put your own questions to the panel from the floor

About the AI Sprint

The Guernsey AI Sprint is an island-wide programme, led by the G8, bringing together businesses, organisations, and individuals to explore, learn, and act on artificial intelligence. From October 1st to November 12th, we'll run workshops, talks, hackathons, and hands-on challenges designed to move Guernsey from AI curiosity to AI confidence.

Whatever your starting point, there is something on the programme for you.
