Part of the AI Sprint: six weeks of events across Guernsey, 1 October to 12 November 2026.
What this session is
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the world of work, the skills our young people need for future success are evolving at an unprecedented pace. This panel brings together leaders from education and industry to explore how we can equip the next generation with the capabilities needed to thrive in an AI driven economy.
Our panel, comprising Tom Grogan, Chief Transformation Officer of Mourant Group, Daniele Harford-Fox, Principal of The Ladies' College, and James Pomeroy, Global Economist at HSBC, will examine the changing skills landscape, the growing importance of adaptability and lifelong learning, and the role that schools, employers and policymakers must play in preparing the workforce of tomorrow.
Attendees will gain insights into the skills that are likely to be most valuable in the years ahead, how organisations can foster future ready talent, and how collaboration between education and business can help bridge the gap between learning and employment in an increasingly technology enabled world.
