OVERVIEW
Organisations are exploring AI, but success takes more than the right tool. Join us to learn how to unlock AI safely and effectively.

Part of the AI Sprint: six weeks of events across Guernsey, 1 October to 12 November 2026.

Overview

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly moving from experimentation to practical application within the financial services industry. From client onboarding and compliance monitoring to process automation and data analytics, organisations are increasingly exploring how AI can improve efficiency, decision-making and productivity. However, many organisations are discovering that AI success depends on more than selecting the right technology. Questions around data quality, legacy systems, operational processes, skills, organisational culture and business readiness often become the real determinants of success.

This session will bring together technology leaders from industry, consulting and regulation to discuss what “data readiness for AI” really means in practice. Rather than focusing solely on technology, the panel will explore the broader capabilities organisations need to unlock meaningful value from AI, move beyond pilots and prepare for an increasingly AI-enabled future. The discussion will be practical in nature and relevant to organisations at different stages of their AI journey and designed to encourage audience participation through a dedicated Q&A session.

This panel will be moderated by Katherine Jane, Deputy Director General (Risk and Operations), Guernsey Financial Services Commission
