Cleaning up your inbox with AI
Learn how to hand your inbox over to AI: summarising threads, drafting replies, and pulling out actions in seconds.
Learn how to hand your inbox over to AI: summarising threads, drafting replies, and pulling out actions in seconds.
Part of the AI Sprint: six weeks of events across Guernsey, 1 October to 12 November 2026.
What this session is
Most of us lose an hour a day to email. Reading it, sorting it, rewriting the same replies, and trying to remember what we agreed three weeks ago.
This workshop shows you how to hand a lot of that work to AI, using tools you already have access to. We will work through real examples together: summarising a long thread in seconds, drafting replies that actually sound like you, pulling actions and deadlines out of a messy chain, and setting up a handful of prompts you can reuse every day.
You do not need any prior experience with AI. If you can use email, you can do this. Everything we cover works in the common tools, so you can apply it whatever your organisation allows you to use.
Who it is for
Complete beginners. Anyone curious about AI but put off by the hype, and anyone who's tried it once, got a poor answer, and given up.
What you will leave with
- A clear idea of what AI is genuinely good at in an inbox, and where it is not to be trusted
- A set of ready made prompts you can start using the same day
- A simple habit for keeping on top of email rather than firefighting it
What to bring or prepare
Instructions of what to bring will be sent ahead of this workshop to attendees. When booking a ticket, please fill out the AI tooling question so the event can be tailored to what will be most impactful.
About the host
Naz Abbasovs is the founder of Islands AI, a Guernsey-based company building practical AI tools for local businesses, including Kalvo, an AI voice platform that handles calls and bookings for island firms. He works with businesses across the Channel Islands on getting real, measurable value out of AI rather than experimenting for the sake of it.
About the AI Sprint
The Guernsey AI Sprint is an island-wide programme, led by the G8, bringing together businesses, organisations, and individuals to explore, learn, and act on artificial intelligence. From October 1st to November 12th, we'll run workshops, talks, hackathons, and hands-on challenges designed to move Guernsey from AI curiosity to AI confidence.
Whatever your starting point, there is something on the programme for you.
